Solomon Nyarko

Solomon Ohene Nyarko is a doctoral student specializing in African history at the University of Miami, and working with Professor Edmund Abaka. His research project focuses on Shea Butter Production and Trade in Northern Ghana from approximately 1850 to 1960 emphasizing its economic significance and impact on the local economy. He also explores themes of sustainability, women's empowerment, and the relevance of shea butter for the global market.

He holds a B.A. in History / Geography and Resource Development from the University of Ghana, where he served as a Teaching Assistant in the History Department (2022-2023).
