Participating in this international convening has enabled me to present the benefits I have acquired in Miami, in both clinical care and research, as a result of our transatlantic collaboration. It also profoundly improved my understanding of the possible health science work that can be carried out in Nigeria and South Florida moving forward.
The diverse perspectives and innovative approaches discussed have illuminated the unique challenges and opportunities each region faces in medical practice and cancer research. In Nigeria, the emphasis on limited resources, deeply ingrained traditions and community-based health initiatives has highlighted the critical importance of culturally sensitive and accessible healthcare solutions. Conversely, South Florida's focus on cutting-edge research methodologies and advanced clinical care showcases the potential of leveraging this collaboration to enhance patient outcomes and streamline healthcare delivery.
