Still Here Convening

In September, The Center for Global Black Studies convened the inaugural gathering Still Here, a program of collaborative thinking and thoughtful discussion. Event participants included esteemed  artists, educators, curators, and scholars from across the Miami community.

Our logo is an Adinkra symbol meaning “S/he who does not know can know from learning"-- highlighting the lifelong quest for knowledge. The addition of multiple colors to this important Ghanaian symbol represents Black diversity across nations, regions, classes, genders, and sexualities.
